2023 Peake Ranch Vineyard Chardonnay

James Suckling (94) - Aromas of candied lemon peel, jasmine and quince paste make for a fascinating and complex chardonnay. Flint and crunchy mineral notes on the finish provide tension and length in this wine of breadth and focus. Tropical notes at the end. 

Jeb Dunnuck (95) - From the estate vineyard located on the warmer, eastern side of the Sta. Rita Hills, the 2023 Chardonnay Peake Ranch Vineyard reveals notes of orchard fruits, hints of lemon curd, crushed stone, and sappy flowers. Barrel fermented, it was aged in nine months in 31% new French oak, then blended and moved to stainless steel tanks for seven months. Medium-bodied, concentrated, focused, and vibrant on the palate, with integrated acidity and a great finish, it's another vivid, pure, complex, and serious Chardonnay from this estate.
